Senior Behavioral Health (SBH) is an 10-bed unit. The SBH Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for the care of adult Geriatric psychiatric patients with diagnoses such Alzheimer’s, other dementias as well as other altered thought processes. The RN will complete a psychiatric nursing assessment on each assigned patient admitted to the unit. The SBH RN identifies and documents patient needs based on subjective and objective data. The Float Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for care of adolescent, adult and geriatric acute med-surg medical-surgical/ cardiac patients.
