Testing personnel are responsible for specimen processing, test performance and for reporting test results. Testing personnel are also accountable for assisting with all duties within the laboratory as delegated and within the scope of regulatory and accrediting bodies and the policies, procedures and standards of Conway Regional Medical Center. The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) will work with a team of physicians, other nurses, patient care techs, and other professionals from various departments of the hospital such as Laboratory, Radiology, and Respiratory Therapy. DRMC ED is a certified Level IV Trauma Center and AR SAVES spoke siteThe ED RN is part of a team that provides care for traumatically injured patients, and critically ill patients suffering from life threatening conditions such as Heart Attack or Stroke. The ED RN works alongside the team with the common goal of providing compassionate, quality care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics within a fast paced environment. The ED RN will assess and monitor a wide array of health conditions and injuries, administer medications, and perform procedures such as moderate sedation, intraosseous and intravascular therapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The ED RN must have a mind that is always assessing and triaging patient complaints and conditions with efficiency and accuracy. The ED RN must be skilled in maintaining proper lines of communication with the health care team, patients, and families. The ED RN will routinely evaluate episodic and acute responses to broad classifications of physical and psychosocial conditions, as well as manage the planning and implementation of interventions. The ED RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures, and standards of the Health System. The ED RN will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.

Senior Behavioral Health (SBH) is an 10-bed unit. The SBH Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for the care of adult Geriatric psychiatric patients with diagnoses such Alzheimer’s, other dementias as well as other altered thought processes. The RN will complete a psychiatric nursing assessment on each assigned patient admitted to the unit. The SBH RN identifies and documents patient needs based on subjective and objective data. Initiates a nursing care plan, identifying and documenting a nursing diagnosis/diagnoses from the psychiatric nursing assessment. Documents long and short term goals on the nursing care plan. Documents and implements appropriate measurable and achievable interventions on the nursing care plan. Communicates patient concerns and/or changes in status.particuliarly behavioral changes. Identifies teaching needs of patient, family, and/or significant other. Maintains clinical competence in providing care to all patients. Assists in a smooth intershift transition. Demonstrates responsible decision making and professional judgment regarding patient care issues. Completes required documentation in a timely manner.

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Radiography. They will utilize XRAYS to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities while complying with Conway Regional Health System policies and procedures. Through documentation and oral communication, essential information is shared with professional/technical health care personnel. The registered diagnostic Radiographer will maintain their professional level of expertise as required by Conway Regional Health System policy. Will be responsible for verifying orders, charging procedures, working knowledge of PACS system, and transport of patients with all necessary paperwork completed.

The Surgical Technologist (ST) working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgeon will assume responsibility and accountability for care of infants, children, adults, geriatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. Care needs may range from those requiring outpatient procedures to the critically ill.The ST will follow the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System. The ST will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.

The Case Manager will be responsible for providing case management to patients including discharge planning, family education, referral source development and management, and insurance utilization review for patients on the unit. The Infection Prevention Nurse is responsible for the facility Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP), which is designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and to help prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.
